What the EU AI Act free review covers

The EU AI Act free review is a plain walkthrough of the AI your business builds, buys or uses. We list each system, place it in one of the Act's four risk tiers, and tell you which obligations apply to you and when. It is a conversation about your actual setup, not a generic presentation. Our EU AI Act guide explains the tiers and deadlines in general terms. The review applies them to you.

The Act sorts AI into four tiers: unacceptable risk, which is banned outright, high-risk, limited risk and minimal risk. Hiring, credit and insurance decisions sit in the high-risk tier, where full obligations arrive on 2 December 2027. Chatbots and AI-generated content sit in the limited-risk tier, which is mostly a disclosure job. Everyday tools for drafting, summarising and coding sit in the minimal-risk tier. See the EU AI Act text and explorer for the full legal wording.

How the EU AI Act free review works

  1. Book: fill in the form above with what you run today and anything you want us to look at.
  2. Schedule: we reply within 24 hours to agree a time for the 30-minute call.
  3. Review: a VEKT AI engineer walks through your systems and maps each one against the Act's risk tiers.
  4. Decide: you leave knowing what needs attention and what does not. If follow-on work is worth doing, we scope it. If it is not, we say so.

Who should book an EU AI Act free review

Book the review if your business uses or builds AI in any form. That covers a handful of employees using ChatGPT or Copilot, a team running a customer-facing chatbot, and a company with a custom system that feeds into decisions about people. The Act applies to AI placed on the EU market or affecting people in the EU, so companies in the UK and elsewhere outside the EU may be in scope too. The review tells you whether you are.

It is especially useful if AI touches hiring, credit or insurance, if you deploy biometric or emotion-recognition tools, or if a customer or investor has asked how you handle AI compliance.

What you leave the review with

You leave the EU AI Act free review with a clear view of your exposure: which systems are in scope, which tier each one sits in, and which deadlines apply. You also hear what you can safely ignore. Where a gap needs closing, we explain what closing it involves, such as documentation, human oversight or staff training. The review is not legal advice, so confirm your specific obligations with counsel.

Many teams start with AI literacy, which the Act already asks organisations to support. Our EU AI Act Readiness Workshop is a half-day working session for IT and HR that documents those measures. It is a paid follow-on, and only if it fits.
